Samothrace Latin
The Samothrace Latin Exercises.
These are a series of workouts or exercises that can be used by Latin students of all ability levels.
These are an audio only exercises. They use a linguaphone style methodology.
In this teaching system, you are constantly quizzed and tested in a series of carefully constructed exercises, and made to produce Latin aloud right from the very beginning.
The course will introduce you to both conversational and literary Latin, and selected Latin from all time periods - classical, renaissance, mediaeval and modern. Materials used in the course are drawn from sacred and secular texts, and selected textbooks and workbooks for studying Latin from across the centuries.
The pronunciation used is 'restored classical'.
Because of the unique design, this course is suitable for students of all ability levels. There is no progression in the materials, as every word is always tested and explained, so a student can select a lesson at random, or follow the progression as I record the lessons - sometimes there are series of connected sentences, so I would advise a more serial approach to using these resources.
